The largest obstacle to a student’s academic success stems from a lack of basic grammar. Without understanding the principles of language, students will begin to struggle with reading comprehension, critical thinking skills and writing.
This course will offer an intensive exposure to the fundamentals of grammar. For too many years, schools have ignored the importance of a well-constructed sentence. Our program seeks to fill this void with practice in the lost art of grammar.
We are experienced teachers with graduate degrees and 23 years of combined experience, who can attest to the fact that children without grammar skills suffer in the ability to think logically, read comprehensively, speak well, and write clearly.
This program seeks to inspire interest in the English language. If your child lacks appreciation of grammar, needs remediation, or would like to advance his or her skills, our program can meet that need. Our experience has given us the tools to be innovative and engaging in order to provoke interest in even the most disinterested student.
The classes, limited to 15 students per class, will be held from June 7th - June 24th. We will meet from Monday to Thursday for three consecutive weeks. All materials will be provided.
Through lively and enjoyable 90-minute daily classes, replete with practice exercises and diagnostic tests, your child will grow immeasurably under our attentive and supportive care. In order to build upon prior skills and place the student appropriately, your child will take a placement test on the first day to determine your child’s needs and current aptitude.
Give your child an edge for the rest of his or her life. Attend the Grammar Institute in 2010.
